Thunder Graphics

Thunder Graphics is an In-School Enterprise that teaches students something that is at the heart of American life. This is something that is not found in the ordinary classroom, something that a teacher alone cannot convey to the student…

How to run your own business!

It takes responsibility, decisiveness, creativity, passion, and endurance.
The fourth step in the Communications Technology Program is a breeding ground for these traits, and is never the same class twice.

Thunder Graphics has five different companies:

Thunder Graphics Web

The web team is in charge of presenting the school’s students, parents, and staff with up to date information. Much like a newspaper the web team is hard pressed to get the news to its public and has gone to football games to get pictures, interviewed students, taken polls, and presented announcements all in an attractive, easy to understand way.

Thunder Graphics Print

The print team takes on jobs within the high school and within the Polk County School System. Recently they were hard at work creating the program for the Miss Lake Region Pageant. Collate, collate, collate!

Thunder Graphics Vinyl

The Vinyl team gets a lot of jobs in school and out. They design and cut vinyl for all kinds of signs for local businesses and school events.

Thunder Graphics Engraving

The engraving team has recently done something interesting by engraving designs on students cell phones and iPods. They also engrave trophies, key chains, and F.I.S.H.E. tags for local schools.

Thunder Graphics Screen Printing

Screen Printing is the shop that creates and designs T-shirts.  Jobs come from school events, LRHS seniors, peewee football, and such clubs as the girl’s cross-country.

The Vinyl Ball Story

Four years ago students in Thunder Graphics decided to do something odd. Something that was a little unorthodox… instead of throwing away the extra vinyl after a cut, they just rolled it up and set it aside. After each preceding cut more vinyl was added. After several years it is has become too large to clear the doorway! Mr. Chayt hopes that we can one day make it into the Guinness Book of World Records.
